Two English department faculty members have been selected as recipients of the 2012 Board of Governors Faculty Recognition Awards. The award winners - Martha Ratliff and and John Reed - are recognized based on their accomplishments, including the publication of books during the last academic year.
Dr. Ratliff published "Hmong-Mien Language History". It contributes to the field of Hmong-Mien and to Asian and historical linguistics.
Dr. Reed's book is entitled "Dickens’ Hyperrealism". It examines Dickens’ writing in a new light.
Each award winner will receive a citation, an engraved plaque, and an award of $2,500. They will be honored at the Academic Recognition Ceremony on April 26th and at the May 2nd Board of Governors meeting.
