Researchers are conducting a study of the speech and language development of children in the Detroit Metropolitan area. The study will determine the developmental characteristics of speech and language in normally developing children. The study will specifically look at children’s intonation patterns (the musical part of speech).

If you have a child who is between the ages of 9 and 33 months of age, we would like you and your child to participate in this study.

Your child will participate in speech, language, and hearing assessments. Additionally, you and your child will participate in a play session. Sessions will last no longer than 90 minutes and will likely be shorter, depending on the child’s attention and interest. It is expected that you and your child will participate in 2 sessions.

Participating families will be paid $10 for each session they attend. For more information, please contact Heather Balog, (313-577-6288 or 313-874-5944)

                                                                   Thank you!
